Peter Hyde Design created two new galleries for the re-imagined Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint, Michigan. The History Gallery is a flexible space exploring everything from Flint’s earliest inhabitants through history in the making.

In this gallery, I was responsible for designing interactives that met the educational and story needs of the museum team. My work focused on interactives that could accommodate individual families as well as large school groups with facilitation. Favorite interactives included loading a weight controlled Oregon Trail wagon to fit your favorite items, an immersive trapper and trader game with challenges for different learning levels, and a large scale mosaic replicating an artifact. Additionally, I supporting drafting, graphics and prototyping during Schematic and Design Development phases.
